There’s something special about watching a community begin to come to life, and this past week, Thyme Lifestyle Resort Palm Cove reached a milestone worth celebrating.

On Wednesday, 2 September, the first sod was officially turned on the resort’s new Clubhouse, marking the start of construction on what will become the welcoming central precinct of our over-50s lifestyle community in Kewarra Beach.

A Milestone Years in the Making
Construction on the Clubhouse comes at an exciting time for Thyme Palm Cove. With the first homeowners already settled into their new homes, this sod turning brings the resort’s vision another important step closer to reality. It’s also a welcome boost for the local Far North Queensland economy, supporting regional employment as the project ramps up.

The event brought together an impressive lineup, including Federal Member for Leichhardt Matt Smith MP, State Member for Barron River Bree James MP, Serenitas QLD & NSW State Development Head Blair Britton, and QLD State Sales Manager Greg Paul along with the resort’s early settlement homeowners, all there to celebrate the start of a build that will ultimately serve a community of more than 360 homes.

Once complete in late 2027, the Clubhouse will become the gathering point for everything that makes life at Thyme Palm Cove special. Homeowners can look forward to a genuinely impressive list of amenities:
